Regarding Apple’s iSlate announcement: You’re welcome, humanity.

So Apple’s officially announced that they’re going to have a press event on January 27th, just as every single person on the planet who cares about such things had predicted. The invitation has the tagline “Come see our latest creation,” and is atop a mess of splotches of spray paint, prompting people to suggest it really looks like finger paint, which means that, yes, the iSlate is officially coming, just as I’ve said time and time again.

To everyone who’s getting excited about the pending announcement, I’ll simply say: you’re welcome.

As I’ve said many times in the past, I’m the reason the iSlate wasn’t announced earlier, because the thing is so unbelievably cool that the world at large wouldn’t be able to handle it. The iPhone itself was essentially a multi-year project designed specifically to prep people for the mindblowjob that is the iSlate. Recently I told Steve that this project was a success; the world is ready to see the future.

Mosspuppet – shall I spill the beans when Apple kills the mouse on all of it’s iMac line ups (even the MacMini)?
