Why Apple Really Wants to Kills DVDs

Half the time, I think the reason why Apple’s got such a hard-on for killing optical discs is that they don’t know how to put a good, reliable reader in their computers, and if they convince everyone the format is dead, they won’t have to worry about that particular problem anymore.

Shut up.

Aren’t you supposed to be ridiculously pro-Apple, even when it was illogical to be so?
That was kind of what made you funny, if you don’t remember.

Like Guy Kawasaki said, with nervous laughter and copious sweating: “DVDs are passé”; all the while defending the travesty that is the MacBook Air, with Ballmer standing up for the good-old laptop. Is that really the guy who writes all those motivational columns and books about “entrepreneurship”, all that Japanese Zen mumbo-jumbo? He couldn’t even handle Ballmer, for chrissakes! Ballmer! And what’s worse, he actually managed the rare feat of making Ballmer look STYLISH, compared to his hideous Hawaiian shirt.
